Retreat Dates

  • October 24 - 28, 2018
  • January 16 - 20, 2019
  • April 17 - 21, 2019
  • July 11 - 14, 2019

Please note attendance at all four retreats is required for participation. All sessions begin at 9:30 am on the first day and end on 1:30 pm the last day. Retreat programs are intensive, with required evening activities. Please plan on being at the retreat center and free to participate for the entire retreat.

Time commitment apart from the retreats: Please allow for up to 4 hours per week for program related time including reading, contributing to the online learning space and participating in individual and group activities.

Program Fees

Your tuition will be based on availability of discounted seats and/or the time your application is received. (See below for what is required to hold a tuition rate.)

Individual rate

  • $6,700 – one of the first 7 seats - register now and complete your application in three weeks to reserve
  • $7,700 – through September 24
  • $8,200 – until registration closes

Corporate rate

  • $9,000 – discounts available for 2 or more individuals

GTC Graduate rate

  • $4,500 - limited availability

Young Leader rate

  • $4,500 - one seat per cohort, preference given to leaders under 30 years old.

Tuition includes

  • All materials and instruction

  • High faculty/participant ratio with maximum 18 participants per cohort

  • Individual and cohort inter-session activities and online engagement

  • One coaching session between each retreat with a member of the faculty

  • STAGES developmental assessment, a highly reliable and effective measure of leadership and personal development, a value of $400. StAGES debriefing offered during the first intersession coaching session, a value of $250.

Tuition does not include airfare or other travel costs, accommodations or meals for each of the four program retreats. Room and meals costs vary based on housing selection, and generally range between $445 - $745 per session.

Faculty for GTC North America

We will have either one or two cohorts depending on enrollment. Each cohort will have two dedicated faculty throughout the program, but you will have a chance to interact with each faculty during GTC. If we have two cohorts, you will be assigned a cohort based on optimal fit.

All four retreats will be held at the beautiful Whidbey Institute retreat center on Whidbey Island, a short ferry ride from Mulkiteo, WA, an hour from Seattle/Tacoma International Airport.  Your stay at the Whidbey Institute provides you with everything you need, including semi-private accommodations, delicious local organic meals and snacks, and use of the retreat facility grounds including sanctuary, labyrinth, hiking trails and gardens.

Application Process

  1. Reserve your place by clicking on the button above that will lead you to our registration site. You will be asked to provide your contact information and non-refundable $75 registration fee that will hold your place in the cohort at the lowest available rate. (10 minutes)
  2. Complete your application. In order to keep your tuition at the currently available rate, you will need to complete your application within two weeks. After you reserve your place, you will have the opportunity to review and accept application details and agreements, then download and complete your personal statement of intent in order to complete your application. (1 - 2 hours.)
  3. Have your application interview. After receiving your application, a member of faculty will contact you to schedule a collaborative application interview. This is to answer your questions, for faculty to get to know you and to determine if the fit is mutually beneficial. (1 hour.)
  4. Finalize your registration. Upon acceptance of your application: A $425 deposit (non-refundable non-transferable) is required within 1 week of acceptance to keep the tuition rate. At this time you will also choose and set up your payment plan. After that you will receive a welcome email, an invitation to take the STAGES Assessment, and pre-program materials.
