Moving from Source: Engaging in Change Processes in Times of Disruption and Breakdown

With Abigail Lynam, Heather Johnson, Vipin Thek,
David Johnston, Molly Madziva, & Tara Denuccio

Thursday Sept 19th 5:30 - 7 pm PST

Please join us for a seminar on engaging in change work during times of disruption. We will explore our learning and growing edges around how to source ourselves and our actions from a deeper ground of being, particularly during times of increasing ecological and social breakdown. This topic is at the heart of our work over the past 14 years of engagement with transformative change. In this seminar, we will explore emerging insights, practices, and capacities for moving from source; listening for and being moved by a future that wants to emerge.

Register Here.

We live in extraordinary times where many of us see growing complexity and uncertainty, and significant challenges. At the same time, we feel a call towards awakening not just for ourselves but for human society as a whole. This emergence of a new potential is uniquely ours to engage with, as we recognize the complexity of our challenges can no longer be met by conventional problem-solving strategies. Our ordinary approach to community and collective action often does not live up to the potential we sense and challenges we face.

As Generating Transformative Change (GTC) graduates and change-makers, we will engage with the following questions:

  • How can we engage our work with open hearts, minds, and spirits, connected with the breakdown and suffering of so many, and anchoring ourselves and actions in a deeper source of wholeness?

  • How might we lean in more deeply to the suffering and pain of breakdown, sensing that doing so might be the very practice that makes breakthrough possible?

  • How can we be with all that is, finding a place of acceptance, and move to, from, and with awareness itself?

  • How can we remain still, free, and creative in the midst of so much uncertainty?

  • How can we move with a Hunhu heart, recognizing that as Sri Ramana Maharshi shared, there are no others?

  • What shadows might be present in these intentions? What are the edges of our learning and practice?

This session will be hosted by GTC grad and faculty Abigail Lynam, in collaboration with GTC grads Heather Johnson, Vipin Thek, Molly Madziva, Tara Denuccio & David Johnston.
